Father's Day, Sunday June 17th at 2pm - A Song & Story with Gary Lee Ireland
You're invited to join us in the big red barn for an enjoyable program of music, stories, fellowship, & of course, cookies! Gary Lee Ireland is a coming back to his roots to entertain us with country, contemporary gospel, & original songs. Weave in some stories, & we know it will make for a fun Father's Day afternoon!Gary Lee IrelandGary was born and raised in lowa, graduating from Griswold Community HS in 1963. He attended Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, Missouri earning a BS degree in physical education in 1968. He received his MA degree in 1969. Gary taught and coached in Iowa public schools for 13 years before becoming involved in Emergency Medical Services. He worked as a paramedic prior to his serving as the director of EMS for the State of lowa, lowa Department of Public Health, from 1991 to 2001.Gary and wife Judy (Sanny) Ireland were married in 1964 and have three daughters and eight grandchildren. Gary and Judy currently live in Des Moines, Iowa.His stories are real, emotional, and heart felt and his songs are uplifting, inspiring and entertaining.Bring your comfy lawn chairs (or we have wooden chairs available). Cookies & lemonade will be provided.

Sunday, September 8th at 2pm - Lincoln Live with Lee Williams
A man of character, honesty and compassion… Abraham Lincoln. Get a glimpse of our past and gain hope for the future. Lee Williams brings these qualities to life as he portrays Abraham Lincoln.
Lee becomes Abraham Lincoln. Each program is tailored to your specific audience–be it young, middle-aged, older, or mixed ages. You will get a glimpse of Mr. Lincoln’s childhood, young manhood, career as a lawyer and statesman, and his presidency. Lee brings Abraham Lincoln to life, emphasizing his character, humility, determination, humor and compassion. Check out abelincoln.org for more photos & videos.
Join us in the Big Red Barn for this wonderful performance. Bring your own lawn chairs or we have wooden ones available. Presentation is free, but a donation is very much appreciated ! Cookies & beverages will be provided.
The House is open during our special events for tours. $5 each adult & high school ages. Free for all under high school age. Cash or check only in the gift shop for merchandise & House tours.
